🌟 Kids Club: Learning, Creating & Growing Together

There is so much happening at Casa Comunidad “Kids Club,” and we are excited to share some of the wonderful progress our children and teachers have been making.

Every week brings new opportunities for our kids to learn, discover their talents, build confidence, and enjoy being together in a safe and positive environment.

🎸 Ukulele & Movement with Teacher Lily

Our ukulele classes with Teacher Lily continue to be a wonderful experience for the children. They are learning the fundamentals of their instruments, including how to tune their ukuleles and identify keys and musical notes.

These classes are helping children develop not only their musical abilities, but also their concentration, listening skills, patience, and confidence.

Teacher Lily is also leading an exciting movement class, where the children learn to coordinate their bodies through music. Through rhythm, movement, and fun activities, they are developing body awareness and coordination while expressing themselves through music.

🇬🇧 Our English Program Continues to Grow!

We are very excited about the progress of our English program for secundaria students.

Thanks to Telesecundaria Director Victoria Partida, who kindly provided us with two classrooms, we are now able to welcome a total of 40 secundaria students into this growing English program!

Teachers Patricia Spencer and Abraham Galeana are putting in a great deal of work to make the classes practical, engaging, and meaningful for the students.

Our main goal is for our kids to receive functional English—language they can actually use in everyday situations and that will help prepare them for future educational and employment opportunities.

We are very grateful to Director Victoria Partida for supporting this initiative and helping us create more opportunities for the young people in our community.

🎵 A Special Thank You to Teacher Meli

We also want to give a very special thank you to Teacher Meli, who has been tirelessly working with our youngest students.

Through fun games and English songs, Meli has created an engaging environment where children can learn while having fun. The songs and activities are really bringing out the best in each child, and we are already seeing wonderful improvement in their English, confidence, and participation.

🦷 Continuing Care: Our Dental Clinic Follow-Ups

We are also very happy to share an update on the children who received additional dental care following our annual Kids Club Dental Clinic in January.

During the clinic, 255 children were checked, and 13 children were identified as needing additional dental treatment. Thanks to the generosity and commitment of our amazing dental team, these children were able to continue with the care they needed.

We are especially grateful to our friend Luis from NovellDent in Bucerías, who generously allowed us to use their clinics in La Cruz to host our annual dental clinic back in January. We are also deeply thankful to our wonderful doctors, led by Dr. Croft and Dr. Cook, for providing their time and expertise to care for our children.

Today, we are happy to share that Lilia, Luis Javier, Jazmin, and Osmar are now in the final phase of their dental treatment plans. Seeing these children reach this stage is a wonderful reminder that the impact of our programs continues long after a clinic is over.

And we have even more exciting news: we are already preparing for our next dental clinic in 2027!

With the first phase of renovations at Kids Club now completed, we will be able to host the dental clinic at our own community space. This will allow us to continue bringing essential dental care closer to the children and families we serve.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped make this program possible. We look forward to welcoming our dental team back to Kids Club in 2027!

🎶 Our Choir Is Getting Ready to Shine!

Our Kids Club Choir continues to move forward, and we are now working on the final details of our songs as we prepare for our upcoming performance in November.

The children will have the opportunity to perform at our concert at Biblioteca Los Mangos in Puerto Vallarta, and we are very excited to share their hard work with the community.

Teacher Aquiles continues to provide the children with the tools, guidance, and musical preparation they need to feel confident and shine on stage.

We are very proud of how much the children have grown as singers and as a team!

🎨 Creating with Teacher Mayra

Our art classes with Teacher Mayra have also been full of creativity and excitement.

The kids have been having a wonderful time exploring their imagination and bringing their ideas to life through art. They are creating unique and fun art pieces, and it has been beautiful to see how happy they are while discovering and developing their artistic talents.

We are looking forward to sharing their creations with all of you very soon!

📚 Welcoming Teacher Karla

We are also very happy to welcome our new teacher, Karla, to the Kids Club family.

Since last week, Karla has been spending time getting to know and bonding with our children. This week, she had the opportunity to talk with the kids in more detail about her plans and the activities she will be developing with them.

We are excited to see this new relationship grow and to see the ideas and creativity Karla will bring to our community.

🏊 Fridays Are for Swimming!

And, of course, Fridays are swimming days at Kids Club!

The children absolutely love Fridays, and our newer swimmers are putting in a lot of effort to improve their skills and become stronger and more confident in the water.

For many of them, the dream is one day to become part of our advanced swim team. We are proud of their dedication and the progress they are making week after week.

💙 Building a Safe Place for Our Community

As our programs continue to grow, so does our vision for the future of Kids Club.

We are currently looking for ways to expand our programs and receive additional support from government institutions, organizations, and community partners. Our long-term goal is to continue developing Kids Club into a place where children can have access to education, arts, music, sports, health services, and other meaningful activities.

Most importantly, we want to provide the children of our community with a safe place to learn, play, create, and make special memories together.

The completion of the first phase of our Kids Club renovation is an important step toward that vision. It gives us a stronger space to continue our existing programs and opens the door for new opportunities, including hosting our dental clinic in 2027.
