We have a lot of new activities at the Kids Club that the Kids are enjoying. We started an Aztec mask project that explores the origins and significance of the masks in Mesoamerican cultures and the children are trying their hand at creating the mosaic designs incorporated in the various styles.
In the birdwatching outings, the children were able to view many “yellow warblers” that are migrating through the area.
In music and dance the children are practicing a ukulele tune called “El Colas” and a dance titled “Kuku”.
In sports, we are practicing yoga poses and continue playing disc golf on the course we made around the town.
We are looking forward to the announcement of our annual fundraiser that is scheduled for February 29th. It will be more of an open house this year held at the Casa Comunidad Kids Club on calle Langosta. There will be music, local food, art, and more to enjoy. Stay tuned for details.
