Kids Club Update – Amigos de La Cruz

This week at Kids Club was full of creativity, learning, and fun!

In music class, our young musicians dove deeper into their ukulele practice by learning about musical notation—how notes are written on the staff and how rhythm is expressed through quarter notes, half notes, and eighth notes. They also explored musical phrasing and tempo, helping them understand not just how to play, but how to feel the music!

In art class, we got colorful and creative! Each child contributed their own handprint to a vibrant collage, symbolizing teamwork and community—one big piece of art made by many little hands.

Our English/Language class focused on vocabulary for emotions and feelings. The children created an adorable “graphic dictionary” showing expressions like tired, excited, worried, sick, and sad. It was a fun and expressive way to learn new words while connecting language to real emotions.

‍♀️ We wrapped up the week with a splashing good time at the pool! After a bit of swimming practice, the kids spent the afternoon laughing, playing, and enjoying the water together.

Every week, we’re amazed by their energy, curiosity, and growing confidence.
