The kids were elated to be back at Kids Club after a week off for the Dental Clinic last week. Volunteer Daniel did sports and games this week working on hand eye coordination and teamwork. Students were put into teams, learning how to toss tennis balls underhand and overhand. Some students took leadership roles and even came up with plans to win competitions. They also had some other challenges working together to make the tallest tower possible with the blocks available.
Volunteer Jamie had another carpentry activity with the children on Friday. Their skills with the tools are progressing well, They are practicing safety using power drill and mitre saw.
Lilly had dancing and music reviewing the 2 dances we are going to present at the fundraising event, and also practiced new exercises in rope jumping and practiced 3 chords: Do-Fa-Sol, to Learn different songs. We also read mythological stories in History and Culture and discussed how to use and be safe when using the internet and social media.
In art with Alejandra, the children worked on painting personalized cards that will be used for the “Sponsor a Kid” campaign at the fundraiser this month.
We hope you can make it to the event to see/hear Latcho and Andrea perform, enjoy some traditional food, and participate in the silent auction. Message +52 311-440-6758 to reserve your space.
