🎪✨ SUMMER CAMP 2026 – FINAL REPORT

Three Weeks of Talent, Inspiration, Friendship & Unforgettable Memories

After three spectacular weeks, our Summer Camp 2026 has officially come to an end—and what an incredible journey it has been!

This summer, we welcomed 36 wonderful children from La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Bucerías, and Higuera Blanca, creating a vibrant community of young people who came together to learn, play, create, perform, and make new friendships.

For three weeks, our campers experienced a program filled with music, dance, art, swimming, Pickleball, storytelling, stage design, creativity, and teamwork. But beyond the activities, our greatest achievement was watching the children become more confident, more expressive, and more willing to challenge themselves.

🌟 A TEAM THAT INSPIRED OUR CHILDREN

This incredible experience would not have been possible without our amazing team.

Our dedicated Teachers Abraham, Lilly, and Mayra were an essential part of the camp, bringing their creativity, energy, patience, and passion to our children every day.

We were also incredibly fortunate to welcome three talented instructors who joined our team:

🏊‍♂️ Sergio – Swimming
🎨 Romina – Art & Stage Design
🏓 Nadín – Pickleball

Together, they created an environment where every child had the opportunity to discover something new, develop their talents, and feel proud of what they could accomplish. 🌟👏

🎭🎶 THE GREATEST SHOW!

One of the highlights of our summer was preparing our Final Performance, inspired by the magic of The Greatest Showman.

Under the direction of Teacher Lilly and Teacher Abraham, our campers worked tirelessly on choreography, music, lyrics, and stage performance.

Songs such as “Never Enough,” “This Is Me,” and other special musical numbers became part of an unforgettable production.

What was particularly inspiring was watching the transformation of our children. Some started the camp shy or hesitant to perform, but week after week, they gained confidence and discovered the courage to stand in front of an audience.

They learned that performing isn’t just about being on stage—it’s about teamwork, perseverance, supporting one another, and believing in yourself.

🎨🎭 CREATING THE MAGIC BEHIND THE STAGE

While our performers were rehearsing, Maestra Romina Valloggia and the children were busy creating the world behind the scenes.

Through art, stage design, decorations, props, and costumes, our campers transformed their ideas into beautiful pieces that became part of the final performance. They discovered that a spectacular show doesn’t happen only because of the performers on stage—it also requires imagination, creativity, and teamwork behind the scenes.

🎨✨ MEET MAESTRA ROMINA

Romina Valloggia is originally from Patagonia, Argentina, where she studied Dramatic Arts and, at the same time, trained at a circus school. She worked with various artistic groups before being invited to participate in the International Rodará Festival in Puebla in 2009, which led her to make Mexico her home.

Over the years, Romina developed her passion for music and traditional Mexican music, performing professionally in concerts. In 2017, she moved to Nayarit, where she worked for five years as a coach at the Circo de los Niños de San Pancho.

In 2023, she helped create Centro Cultural La Casa in Lo de Marcos, together with La Casa de los Niños A.C., where she currently serves as General Coordinator.

Romina teaches art, circus, and music, and continues to perform as a singer and musician with La Santa Patrona, a son jarocho group.

We are incredibly grateful to Romina for bringing her diverse artistic experience, creativity, and passion to our Summer Camp and for inspiring our children to discover the artist within themselves. ❤️🎨🎪

🏊‍♂️💦 MAKING GREAT SWIMMERS

Our swimming program, led by Teacher Sergio, helped our campers build confidence and improve their abilities in the water.

Throughout the three weeks, the children practiced important swimming fundamentals, including kicking, breathing, floating, body positioning, and stroke coordination.

Sergio’s patience and encouragement helped each child progress at their own pace while challenging them to become stronger and more confident swimmers.

🏊‍♂️💦 SERGIO, LUCY & GABO: A BEAUTIFUL KIDS CLUB CONNECTION

Our swimming program was led by Teacher Sergio, Head of the Department of Institutional Partnerships and Development at CEMAR (Prepa) in La Cruz, who brought patience, encouragement, and enthusiasm to every session. He was wonderfully supported by his wife, Lucy, who assisted throughout the camp and helped make each swimming experience positive and welcoming for our children.

But this family has a special connection to Kids Club.

Their son, Gabo, joined us as a Pickleball assistant this summer. Gabo and his sister, Aquetzali, were both students at our former Kids Club.

Years later, seeing Gabo return to help and mentor a new generation of children was a beautiful reminder of what Kids Club is all about: building a community where children grow, and where yesterday’s students can become tomorrow’s mentors. 🌟

We are deeply grateful to Sergio, Lucy, and Gabo for sharing their time, talent, and love with our campers. ❤️

🏓✨NADÍN: A POWERFUL STORY OF PERSEVERANCE

One of the most special stories of this year’s Summer Camp is the story of Nadín.

Almost 10 years ago, Nadín was a young student at our former Kids Club. Even as a child, it was clear that sports were his passion and one of his greatest talents—particularly tennis.

Our beloved friend Joan Gil, who recognized the extraordinary potential in this young athlete, decided to support and sponsor Nadín during the final years of her life.

Her belief in him made a tremendous difference.

And it truly paid off.

Nadín became an outstanding tennis player and, throughout his young career, has had the opportunity to participate in important competitions in Puerto Vallarta and other states throughout Mexico.

And he continues to play tennis to this day.

Nadín’s journey is a beautiful example of perseverance, dedication, hard work, and the power of someone believing in you.

This summer, we were especially proud to see Nadín return to our Kids Club—not as the young student he once was, but as an instructor, mentor, and role model for a new generation of children.

Through Pickleball, he shared his passion for sports while teaching our campers basic techniques, coordination, positioning, paddle control, footwork, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

There is something incredibly powerful about seeing a former student come full circle.

A child who was once given an opportunity is now giving that opportunity to others. 🌟

And that is what community is all about.

🎶🌟 A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO HOLLY

This summer, we were incredibly fortunate to welcome a very special volunteer and friend of our Kids Club, Holly.

Holly generously gave her time to come and perform for our campers and share her incredible passion for music.

But she didn’t simply perform for the children—she became part of the experience.

Holly taught our campers the song “Yellow Submarine,” which they proudly performed as part of our Final Show.

Seeing the children learn the song, practice together, and eventually perform it on stage was a truly magical moment.

We are incredibly grateful to Holly for volunteering her time, sharing her talent, and becoming a new friend of our Kids Club.

🎼✨ Meet Holly

Holly is a versatile professional performer and educator currently working as a flautist with Cirque du Soleil’s new production Ludõ in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

Her impressive career includes performing with Cirque du Soleil’s Totem during 2019–2020, including performances at the Royal Albert Hall and a European tour.

Her other performance credits include productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Lion King in Zürich and the West End, Miss Saigon, Oliver!, and Thursford Christmas Spectacular, among others.

Holly has also contributed her flute playing to numerous recordings and projects with artists and organizations including Laura Mvula, Stacey Kent, Katie Melua, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Skinny Lister. Her playing has also been featured in television scores, commercials, animations, and artistic projects.

We feel incredibly fortunate that someone with such an extraordinary artistic career chose to spend time with our children.

Thank you, Holly, for reminding our campers that music has no boundaries—and that dreams can take you anywhere.

❤️ THREE WEEKS THAT WILL STAY WITH US

At the beginning of Summer Camp, we had 36 individual children, each with their own personality, interests, talents, and dreams.

Three weeks later, we had a stronger community.

We saw children:

🎭 Find the courage to perform on stage.
🎨 Discover new artistic talents.
🏓 Learn a new sport.
🏊‍♀️ Become more confident in the water.
🎶 Discover the joy of music.
🤝 Learn the importance of teamwork.
❤️ Build new friendships.
🌟 Discover that they are capable of more than they imagined.

And perhaps most importantly, we watched them believe in themselves.

🙏 THANK YOU TO OUR FAMILIES & COMMUNITY

To the 36 amazing campers, thank you for bringing your laughter, energy, imagination, and wonderful personalities to Summer Camp 2026. You made these three weeks unforgettable.

To all the families from La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Bucerías, and Higuera Blanca, thank you for trusting us with your children and allowing us to be part of their summer.

To our incredible team—Abraham, Lilly, Mayra, Sergio, Lucy, Romina, Nadín, and Gabo—thank you for your dedication, patience, talent, and love for our children.

A very special thank you to Sandra Parra, Director of Kindergarten José María Pino Suárez, who kindly allowed us to use their facilities for our Summer Camp and Final Performance. Your generosity helped give our children a wonderful space to learn, create, rehearse, and shine. ❤️
