The Amigos de la Cruz Casa Comunidad is more than just the home of the Kids Club. We are also home to other activities such as the La Cruz Community Choir. The choir, consisting of La Cruz locals and led by Aquiles Morales, has been around for several years in La Cruz. They are currently using Casa Comunidad for their weekly rehearsals. We plan to include them in our future presentations or host a concert for them.

At the Kids Club, the children are busy practicing ukuleles. They look forward to the sessions and many are becoming very proficient with the basic chords and are now starting to sing while playing and practicing to not look at their hands when changing chords. Many children are enjoying playing chess and learning some new strategies. They are practicing English and penmanship writing letters to Kids Club Sponsors and donors that will be sent out before the end of the month. We are finishing up the stained glass project in art and have several students taking advantage of assistance completing some of their homework assignments from school.
